Over a 25+ year career, Janssen has written several books of text art and has been a highly acclaimed international advocate for Australian cutting edge text art, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Her work is typified by a combination of captivating spoken performance and first-rate poetical writing.

Janssen performs in the text/altered piano duo THE JANSSEN/HULLICK DUO with James Hullick. They created the show EMOTIONOGRAPHY which was JOLT's first show for 2008.
